Maroc - Rabat

Our third stop in Maroc was Rabat. And while it is the capital of Maroc, there isn't that much to see. Tourism isn't big in Rabat.

M.I.A. aka Mathangi Arulpragasam is crazy girl with an unbelivable energy, in the best sense of crazy. Her creativity flows trough all that she does, from song texts to music videos to design to live performance.

Marten Laciny aka Marteria is one of the most influential german rap artists in the last years. His positive and open attitude is contagious.

Pharrell Williams

Pharr is one half of the record production duo The Neptunes, winner of seven Grammy Awards and behind a lot of number one hits in the last decade.

Maroc - Hassan II Mosque

The largest mosque in Africa is quite impressing. It features the worlds tallest minaret with 210 meters height. The mosque is located just at the shore in Casablanca. Personally, I was really pleased with the mosaics.

Maroc - Marrakech Places

When you pay to enter one of the many sites that Marrakech has to offer, you can finally enjoy some silence and peace. Except for half naked tourists running trough your picture (not depicted).

Maroc - Marrakech Streets

Our journey trough Maroc started and ended in Marrakech. And while it offers many nice places like the Djemaa el Fna, in the end we enjoyed the rest of Maroc much more. Tourism is so big in Marrakech, it seems to be becoming an issue.

Nacht der Technik 2013

As a part of local tradition students let grow their beards in the last three months of studying in Winterthur. At the end of their studies they get rid of their beards, known as "Bart ab". In the last few years that event has grown and now also sports a science fair and local bands.
